白內障是什麼?醫師帶你了解原因、症狀、治療到手術後保養
白內障是全世界造成失明的第一名原因。根據世界衛生組織(World Health Organization, WHO)發布的資料顯示,全球約有三千九百萬位眼盲患者,其中有51%起因於白內障(1)。白內障的定義是什麼?一定要接受手術治療嗎?隨著3C產品的普及,是否會加重、或讓白內障提早發生?我們又可以如何做來達到預防的效果呢?
白內障是什麼?
正常情況下,透明的水晶體可讓光線通過,並藉由折射聚焦讓影像呈現在視網膜上。當水晶體中的水分和蛋白質,因老化、疾病或是外力等因素,凝結形成不透明的物體、導致水晶體混濁,對光線到達視網膜造成干擾,導致視野變得模糊不清,並影響看到的色彩,就稱為白內障(2)。

白內障是眼睛老化的疾病,每個人終其一生都有可能會遇到。因此,延緩白內障的發生,是我們可以即刻開始努力的方向;一旦白內障發生,藥物僅能減緩病程,手術即是唯一有效的治療方式,目前白內障手術的發展成熟,不必過度害怕就醫與手術,及早就醫,及早重拾光明視野。
